The 12 Zodiac Signs in Vedic Astrology
The zodiac consists of twelve signs or Rashis, each covering 30 degrees of the 360-degree zodiac. A sign provides the environment through which a planet expresses its qualities.
A person's complete character should not be inferred merely from a Sun sign or Moon sign. The Ascendant, planetary placements, houses, aspects, strengths and other horoscope factors must also be considered.

Signs are only one part of the horoscope
A common mistake is to describe an individual entirely by one zodiac sign. Vedic astrology uses a considerably broader framework.
For meaningful interpretation, an astrologer may examine the Lagna, Moon, Sun, planetary placements, house lords, aspects, conjunctions, Nakshatras, Dashas and relevant divisional charts. The zodiac sign therefore provides an important layer of interpretation — but not the complete story.
Astrological interpretations are traditional guidance frameworks and should not replace professional medical, legal, financial or other specialist advice.
