D4 divides each sign into four divisions of 7°30′. Its subject is the settled, immovable side of material life: where a person lives, what they hold, and how secure that holding feels.

It is worth being precise here. D4 is a Jyotisha chart about property as a life theme. It is not a Vastu chart. Vastu is a separate discipline concerned with the design and orientation of a built space, and the two should not be collapsed into one another even though both touch on the home.
